Setup And Scheduling
1. Turn on the setup options you need
Section titled “1. Turn on the setup options you need”Open Sifterra Setup and review these areas:
- Use SharePoint Site to Download Files Turn this on only if you want Sifterra to pull files from SharePoint automatically.
- Auto-Move Files in SharePoint
Turn this on if you want files to move through
Download,In Review, andArchive. - Delete Files After Archive Turn this on only if you want archived files removed automatically.
If you use SharePoint, also confirm the saved site, library, root folder, and connection details are already working before you schedule the scan.
2. Schedule the SharePoint scan
Section titled “2. Schedule the SharePoint scan”In Sifterra Setup, use Schedule Automatic SharePoint File Scan.
This opens a Job Queue entry with default settings:
- Runs every 15 minutes
- Weekdays only
- Starts in
On Hold
Review the schedule, then change the Job Queue entry to Ready when you want it to start.
3. Schedule document processing
Section titled “3. Schedule document processing”Open Sifterra Document Queue and choose Setup Job Queue.
This opens a Job Queue entry with default settings:
- Runs every 5 minutes
- Weekdays only
- Starts in
On Hold
Review the schedule, then change the Job Queue entry to Ready.
4. Confirm your analyzers are active
Section titled “4. Confirm your analyzers are active”The SharePoint scan only checks analyzers that are marked active. If an analyzer is inactive, its folder is skipped.
Important note about processing settings
Section titled “Important note about processing settings”The Enable Auto Processing and Auto Process Interval fields are useful setup fields, but the actual schedule is controlled by the Job Queue entries. In practice, automation starts and stops based on whether those Job Queue entries exist and are set to Ready.
If automation is not running, check the Job Queue entries first.
