Connect services
The first setup user should:
- Open Sifterra Setup from search.
- Enter the web address and access key for the document-reading service.
- Select Test Connection.
- If you will use AI-based field matching, fill in the OpenAI section and run Test Mapping Agent.
- If you will pull files from SharePoint, turn that option on and use the guided connection wizard.
Sifterra creates its setup card automatically the first time this page is opened, so there is no separate “new setup” step.
Main connection behavior
Section titled “Main connection behavior”- The setup page includes Connection Status with three states: Untested, Connected, and Failed.
- The page also stores Last Test Date, which gives the user a clear sign that the connection check actually ran.
- If you change the main service web address, access key, version, or completion model later, Sifterra resets the connection back to Untested until you test again.
Optional integrations
Section titled “Optional integrations”OpenAI field-matching test
Section titled “OpenAI field-matching test”The AI field-matching test only works after the OpenAI URL and key have been filled in.
SharePoint guided setup
Section titled “SharePoint guided setup”- The shared-library connection action opens a step-by-step wizard.
- That wizard tells the user their details will be saved automatically and the connection will be checked at the end.
- The optional SharePoint setup starts with a default root folder name of Sifterra.
The optional guided connection for automatic file pickup is more technical than the main setup. It expects:
- a separate browser window
- a higher-permission admin
- copying several IDs and a secret from an external admin screen
- granting consent before the test will pass
