Correct fields and lines
Once you find a problem, you can correct it directly on the review page.
Correct Header Fields
Section titled “Correct Header Fields”For header fields, type over the extracted value in the appropriate value column.
Common examples include:
- dates
- document numbers
- totals
- vendor or customer details
Correct Detail Lines
Section titled “Correct Detail Lines”For detail lines, update the value directly in the line grid.
This is useful when:
- an amount landed in the wrong column
- a description was split badly
- one line needs correction but the rest of the document is usable
What Happens When You Edit
Section titled “What Happens When You Edit”When you change a value, Sifterra:
- marks it as user-corrected
- records who changed it and when
- uses the corrected value during approval and document creation
Your corrections are saved as you make them.
Create A Field Mapping While Reviewing
Section titled “Create A Field Mapping While Reviewing”If you see a field that should be recognized the same way on future documents, turn on Create Field Mapping for that row before approval.
When you approve the document, Sifterra creates a new mapping record for each selected field if one does not already exist. This helps reduce repeat corrections on similar documents later.
When To Use Mapping Creation
Section titled “When To Use Mapping Creation”Create a mapping during review when:
- the same field is likely to appear again on similar documents
- the extracted value is correct, but the system does not consistently know where it belongs
- you want to reduce repeated manual correction on the same document layout
Do not assume the new mapping is fully ready without follow-up. Some mappings may still need an administrator or setup owner to finish the related Business Central field setup.
